SafePal S1 Pro uses air-gap technology to sign transactions and works as a fully standalone cold storage device for cryptocurrency.
The Pro version features a noticeably improved body: aluminum protects the internal components better, while the tempered glass is designed for everyday use and is easier to maintain. The battery has been increased to 500 mAh (the SafePal S1 has a 400 mAh battery), which extends standalone operating time. The camera was also moved to the center, making QR scanning faster and more intuitive.

SafePal App is an open-source application through which you manage your SafePal S1 Pro wallet: view your portfolio, prepare transfers, and make swaps. It also includes access to DeFi and DApp services, so you can connect to Web3 directly from the app. Importantly, transaction approval happens on the wallet itself: the app only creates the transaction, while the signing is done on the device via QR, without transferring private keys to the phone.
SafePal maintains a public code repository for its wallets, so part of the wallet’s logic can be viewed and verified. SafePal publishes part of its code openly, allowing you to see how the device logic works and what exactly it does. This adds transparency: issues are easier to notice, discuss, and fix. At the same time, private keys never leave the wallet, since their storage is handled by a secure chip rather than the app.
