Flexible wallet backup

By default, Trezor Safe 5 uses a modern 20-word SLIP39 backup. You can start with a single set of words using Single-share Backup and later switch to Multi-share Backup, dividing your backup into several independent parts and choosing how many of them are required to restore access.
The device also supports traditional 12- or 24-word BIP39 backups, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your storage needs.

Every transaction under your control

Before signing a transaction, Trezor Safe 5 displays its key details directly on the device screen. You can verify the address and confirm the action on the wallet itself, reducing the risk of transaction data being secretly altered by malicious software.

Additional protection with a PIN and passphrase

A PIN restricts access to the device itself, while an additional passphrase allows you to create a separate wallet based on your existing backup. The passphrase can be entered directly on the touchscreen without sharing it with your computer.
