Real Bitcoin in a physical format

Ballet Crypto Gift Card lets you give someone real Bitcoin held at a dedicated address—not a voucher, promo code, or promise of a future purchase. The recipient physically owns the card and can independently check the balance, hold BTC, or transfer it to another wallet. The card requires no battery, cable, software updates, or connection to a computer.

The card comes without Bitcoin

Ballet Crypto Gift Card is supplied without any funds loaded onto it, so BTC is not included in the product price. Before giving the card to someone, you transfer Bitcoin to its address from an exchange, software wallet, or another service. The public QR code lets you obtain the deposit address and confirm that the funds have arrived.

Two protected access components

Bitcoin is managed using two separate components: Passphrase Entropy and Encrypted Private Key Entropy. One is concealed beneath a scratch-off security layer, while the other is protected by a tamper-evident sticker with a QR code. Both components are required to transfer the funds.

Before funding the card, make sure the scratch-off layer and security sticker are intact and that the serial numbers on the card and sticker match exactly. Do not scratch off the protective layer or remove the sticker until you are ready to withdraw the Bitcoin. Once these details are revealed, anyone who sees them may be able to access the funds.

Check the balance using the QR code

To check how much Bitcoin is held on the card, scan the public information QR code with your smartphone camera. You will be taken to a webpage showing up-to-date information about the asset and the address balance. You do not need to remove the scratch-off layer or reveal any private information. This allows you to confirm that the card has been funded before giving it away and to check the balance later.

Transfer Bitcoin through Ballet Crypto

To send Bitcoin, add the card to the Ballet Crypto app by scanning its information QR code. Then select the transfer option, enter the address of another Bitcoin wallet, and reveal the card’s two protected components to authorize the transaction. The app acts as an interface for viewing and managing the asset, but it does not hold the Bitcoin. Control over the funds is determined by the information stored on the physical card.

Designed as a one-time gift

Ballet Crypto Gift Card is designed for a simple use case: load the card with Bitcoin, give it to someone, and then transfer the full available balance to a permanent wallet when needed. The recipient does not need to create an account, write down a seed phrase, or configure an electronic device in advance to check the gift.

The card is not intended for repeated funding or ongoing use. Once the Passphrase Entropy and Encrypted Private Key Entropy have been revealed, it is recommended to transfer the entire balance to a new secure address and stop using the card for long-term storage.
