Compare the address you sent the funds to with the recipient address shown in the transaction details. Check the full address, not just the first and last few characters. If you use a hardware wallet, verify the address on the device screen whenever possible.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Check the network as well. For example, USDT exists on Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, and other networks, but those versions are not interchangeable. If the network or address does not match what you expected, do not make another transfer until you have confirmed where the funds actually went.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
2. Make sure the transfer was actually sent<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Find the transaction identifier \u2014 TxID, TxHash, or transaction signature, depending on the network. You can usually find it in the wallet\u2019s transaction details or in the exchange withdrawal history.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
If the exchange still shows Processing<\/strong> and there is no TxID yet, the withdrawal is most likely still being processed by the platform and an on-chain transaction has not been created yet.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Internal transfers between balances on the same platform may happen without an on-chain transaction at all. In that case, use the platform\u2019s internal transaction ID and status instead.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Open the TxID in a block explorer for the correct network: mempool.space<\/a><\/strong> for Bitcoin, Etherscan<\/a><\/strong> for Ethereum, BscScan<\/a><\/strong> for BNB Smart Chain, TronScan<\/a><\/strong> for TRON, or Solscan<\/a><\/strong> for Solana.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Start with the transaction status:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n If you sent crypto to your own self-custody wallet, open the recipient address in a block explorer. If the asset is already visible on that address, the problem is most likely with how the wallet app displays it rather than with the transfer itself.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n For an exchange deposit, a Success<\/strong> status on-chain does not always mean the funds will appear immediately. The exchange may require a certain number of confirmations or network finality before processing the deposit internally. Check the deposit history and the status for that specific asset and network.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n The asset may already be on your address even though the wallet app has not added it to your portfolio. Check the token in a block explorer and, if your wallet supports manual token addition, use the official token details for that network<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n For example, in Ledger Wallet, ERC-20 tokens are displayed under an Ethereum account, while TRC-20 tokens are displayed under a TRON account. TRON has an additional requirement: a new account must first be activated on the network, usually by receiving a small amount of TRX. Until the account is activated, USDT TRC-20 may not display correctly in Ledger Wallet.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n On most other networks, having a zero balance of the native coin does not by itself hide your tokens. However, ETH, BNB, TRX, or another native coin may be required later to pay the network fee when you want to move those tokens.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n If an asset was sent over a different EVM network to an address you control, you can often find it at the same If the recipient was an exchange, you do not control its deposit address yourself. In that case, whether the funds can be recovered depends on the platform.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Some exchange deposits require a memo, tag, or another additional identifier. Exchanges may also set a minimum deposit amount for each asset and network.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n If the transaction is confirmed but the deposit has not been credited, check these requirements on the exchange\u2019s own deposit page.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n If the block explorer already shows the correct balance, update and restart the wallet app and check whether the service is experiencing an outage or data-sync issue.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Do not reinstall or reset the wallet until you are sure you have a working way to restore access.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n If the zero balance appeared after restoring the wallet, check the passphrase, account type, and account number<\/strong>.
